About the Role
We are looking for a PHP Software Engineer to join our development team and contribute to building scalable and high-performance web applications. You will work with modern PHP frameworks, databases, and cloud technologies to deliver efficient backend solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend applications and APIs using PHP (8.x+).
- Build and optimize web applications using Laravel, Symfony, or other modern PHP frameworks.
- Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs for seamless data exchange.
- Work with SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, OpenID Connect).
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
- Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure code quality (PHPUnit, Codeception).
- Deploy and maintain applications on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Work with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams and participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.
Requirements:
✅ 2+ years of experience in PHP development.
✅ Strong knowledge of PHP 8.x and modern PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter).
✅ Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and WebSockets.
✅ Knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
✅ Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
✅ Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins).
✅ Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
✅ Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Nice to Have:
➕ Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis Pub/Sub).
➕ Familiarity with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions).
➕ Understanding of headless CMS solutions (Strapi, Contentful, WordPress API).
➕ Knowledge of DevOps practices and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
